Grayson is trying to restore his failing family vineyard with no money, no working equipment, and few workers. Then, like a godsend, Kira offers him a deal—marriage for public appearances and enough money to restore the vineyard. But Kira isn’t acting out of kindness—she’s desperate, broke, and needs the money she can only access once married. Their arrangement, born of desperation, ends in hope.

From the start, Kira and Grayson don’t like each other. Grayson is quick to judge, and Kira doesn’t hold back for him. Underneath their clashes, there’s an intense sexual tension they try to ignore. Grayson’s pain and hurt make him lash out, especially at Kira, making it hard to like him at first. Thankfully, Kira stands up to him. Her warmth, huge heart, and optimistic view contrast Grayson’s demeanor, and they balance each other out perfectly. Their slow-burning love is breathtaking, beautiful, and heart-wrenching.

Though slow-going at first, once the pace picks up, it’s hard to stop reading. I didn’t connect emotionally at first, but when I did, the story swept me away. I even teared up at some parts. Don’t give up on this book if it drags a bit; the end is worth it (the epilogue is gorgeous!). It’s a fantastic love story, a worthwhile read, and one fans of the series should not miss.

Mia Sheridan is an author whose books I will never hesitate to read. Her words pack a powerful punch, making her stories exhilarating. Her latest A Sign of Love novel, Grayson’s Vow, feels like a fairy-tale romance. I loved the vineyard setting and how Sheridan crafted two flawed, broken characters who find love and hope in each other. While it may not be my favorite of the hers, Grayson’s Vow is the only book that made me tear up. Placing easily as as top read for this year.
